THIS HONDA WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2010 (A LEFTOVER 2008 WITH ONLY 20 MILES ON IT).

THE CURRENT OWNER STATED, "I Wanted to have something different, yet did not yet to stand out by flash.  Have always liked the look of the Harley Road Glide and seen a few attempts online of people trying to make VTX’s into baggers.  Had mutual friends with the guys at Southern Man Cycles and brought the project to them.  They loved the idea and I worked hand and hand during the build.  All details and ideas were from my head and Tim Caldwell took the vision to metal. Nothing beats having someone take a double take on my bike, scratching his or her head saying, “Wait a second”.

The build started of as just to make a custom bike for me to ride.  Why else would you own a bike. During the build, we quickly realized the show potential and changed our focus slightly.  At the first show, 2012 Daytona Biketoberfest BoardWalk Classic Bike Show, took 1st Place in Metric Cruiser.  The following day at the Rats Hole took 2nd Place in Touring and Full Dresser.  In January of 2013, took 2nd Place Bagger Full Throttle Magazine Florida Motorcycle Expo & Bike Builder Invitational.

Some of the most challenging parts were the fabrication of the rear section.  The entire rear fender is made out of metal.  The stock fender was cut off just behind the seat bolt.  Took a 9” fender, cut, shrunk, and molded a seamless transition as if it was stock.

The addition of the road glide gauges, were a task.  This was due to Honda not having some of the sensors we needed.  We actually drilled and taped the second oil drain plug to hold the oil temp sensor. After completed we now have oil temp, water temp, voltage, and RPM’s displayed in the front fairing.

One of the most interesting things is that people walk by it thinking its just another road glide.  The bike is very sleek, however has many custom unique designs.  Such as the Tricplate, Ducati molded scoops, and the rear fender is all metal.  Not fiberglass like a number of custom bikes on the road.  The Tricplate is a favorite of everyone.  Called the company and had them ship it to me in pieces so we could flush it in the rear fender.  Came out sweet."

ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS VERY SPECIAL 'HARDLEY-DAVIDSON'.
